Welcome at Wattay International Airport then a transfer to your hotel. After refreshments enjoy a city tour visiting the oldest temple Wat Sisaket which houses approx. 6840 statues of Buddha. On the left there is a Burmese style temple and an ancient library which once concealed sacred documents. Hor Prakeo, the original home of the Emerald Buddha, now offers a collection of consecrated art objects including 18th century bronze statues of the Buddha in various positions of meditation. Visit the unforgettable That Luang Stupa, the national symbol of Laos, this large holy stupa is said to contain a hair from the Buddha. Continuing your tour you now visit Patuxay [the Victory Gate], this is the Arc de Triumph of Vientiane. This monument, closely resembles its Parisian cousin and is ornamented in Lao style. From the top of Patuxay you have a unique view of the Vientiane panorama including Patuxay Park. Return to your hotel.
Breakfast at your hotel. Then you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Luang Prabang. Designated a World Heritage Site, this former capital is one of the best preserved traditional cities in Southeast Asia. Upon your arrival you will be transferred to your hotel.Your tour will include the royal temples,Wat Xiengthong, the most beautiful temple, was built very close to the Mekong, the roof slopes almost to the ground, it is characteristic of Luang Prabang architecture and Wat Visun, the most ancient temple of Luang Prabang [known as the watermelon]. Then climb to the top of Mount Phousiand enjoy the wonderful panoramicview of the city and surrounds. Enjoy shopping at the softly lit night markets. Return to your hotel.
After breakfast, visit the National Museum [Royal Palace], spend a day cruising the mighty Mekong River with a stop to visit the mysterious Pak Ou Caves. After the caves visit a riverside village where rice wine is produced and Ban Sang Khong village where traditional textiles and Sa paper are produced. Return to city where you are at leisure..
After breakfast drive 37 km to visit these lovely falls which fall and cascade over limestone cliffs and rocks to form turquoise pools. An ideal place to enjoy a swim or leisurely walk. Return to the city where you are at leisure
